Description
Startup disk
a disk used to start or boot a computer. Under normal conditions,
a computer boots using operating system instructions on the hard drive. In
the event a hard drive is damaged or otherwise compromised, it is necessary
to boot from a floppy disk. To create a startup disk:
1. Insert a fresh floppy into the floppy drive.
2. Select Start, Settings, Control Panel.
3. Open Add/Remove Programs.
4. Select Startup Disk, and click Create Disk.
5. When finished, label Windows (version...) Startup disk,
and store in a safe place.
